The Suitcase Stories
One actor, one suitcase, one story. 45-minute performances created specifically for class and year group bubbles, bringing the magic of theatre into primary and secondary classrooms, through curriculum related stories, including:
- When The Lights Went Out – between November 1940 and April 1941, Bristol was the target for heavy Luftwaffe bombing. The words and songs of children and adults who lived through the Bristol Blitz capture the fears and triumphs of a city at war. Suitable for KS2 and KS3.
- Macbeth – one of the world’s greatest tragedies, and the ideal introduction to the work of Shakespeare. A specially edited version of the original text, performed for clarity of understanding and the thrill of the story, suitable for KS2 and KS3.
- The Ramayana – at the heart of the Festival of Diwali is the story of Rama and Sita, the defeat of the demon Ravan with the help of Hanuman, and the triumph of good over evil. A joyous retelling of this key Hindu story, suitable for KS1, KS2 and KS3.
- A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens perennial classic, as festive as it is thought-provoking, performed using the edit that the master storyteller himself used. Suitable for KS2 and KS3.
